Opici Homemade Style Barberone is a special wine that was created by the Opici family to pay homage to the art of home winemaking. The word "Barberone" is a dialectic word for a vineyard worker. Years ago, the vineyard workers would receive grapes as part of their compensation. These grapes were used to make their "home" blend. While each one varied, the styles were consistently full-flavoered, rich tasting and hearty.
Opici Homemade Style Barberone Red is a full flavored, full-bodied wine with a deep red color and the sweet aroma of a dark fruit. The wine has a rich texture and the flavor touches all senses, lingering long after the wine is gone. This is a great wine for steaks, roast beef, lamb and pork chops, and pasta with spicy tomato sauces.
Opici Homemade Style Barberone White is a full-bodied wine made from a blend of white grapes. The wine has a full, sweet floral aroma. The wine is richly textured and the flavor lingers long after the wine is gone. This is a great wine for seafood and pasta dishes. It marries well with cream or butter sauces, and it can also stand up to spicy foods.
